Our History
The idea that began Elwood’s Pizzeria started years ago, in Reynoldsville, WV while sitting on a bridge and eating our favorite pizza, Tuccillo’s Pizza. We talked about how great it would be to open our own shop one day and as the years rolled by we would talk about it more and more, changing ideas and concepts until one day we went different directions in life and the idea was put on the back burner. In 2022, fate brought us together again under tragic circumstances. Our friend/cousin/brother, Michael Elwood Harris, was diagnosed with liver cancer. Another friend of ours owned a building in Glen Elk, where we spent half of our childhood at our family’s taxi company, so it is a neighborhood that we cherish.
We convinced ourselves to get to work, convinced our friend to lease us the building and we were off and running, but we needed a name. I told Greg Harris we should name it Michael’s after our friend. He called me a couple hours later and suggested we call it Elwood’s since only us close friends called Michael by his middle name and I agreed – Elwood’s was the perfect name!
So, now, we have a pizza shop in our beloved Glen Elk neighborhood, we are producing top quality pizza and other food, we have a great supporting cast around us and we are giving back to the community whenever we can!
